The Christmas Chocolate Adventure at MGI-BPO: Where’s the Champagne? Where’s the Christmas Candy?

A Recap of the BPO Christmas Party

Last Friday, the whole city was already buzzing with Christmas fever – and we were no exception. It’s not that we ran away from work (it always knows where to find us), but we decided to shift the focus for one evening. From numbers to chocolate. Quite a change, we admit.

The Introduction

We arrived ten minutes before the event started, like true chocolate enthusiasts ready for anything. The venue was Szamos Café, a place where chocolate isn’t just a sweet treat – it’s a bite of heaven. The dazzling selection of drinks, from champagne to soft drinks, and the savory pastries melted in our mouths like a rebellious Christmas peace offering. “We’re doing great,” we thought. But little did we know what awaited us!

The Program

The chocolate adventure began with a three-stop tour. Here’s the twist: who would have thought that chocolate could give us a truly “professional” experience?

Making Christmas Candy – How Chocolate Becomes a Holiday Symbol

Our chocolate master, who looked like he had just stepped out of a Michelin-starred pastry salon, showed us in detail how to turn Christmas candy into something unique. Everyone tried to “work” diligently, but in the end, no one really understood why there were so many shapes – still, they looked beautiful.

Spiced Chocolate Heaven: The Basics of Chocolate Discs

Imagine sprinkling cardamom, chili, and sea salt on a layer of chocolate while trying to figure out why this combination makes sense. “Probably the magic of Christmas!” we thought. Meanwhile, a bar and a half of chocolate had already disappeared from our hands, and we were getting acquainted with the spices… a little mouthwatering encouragement.

Chocolate Museum – If Chocolate Could Talk

The museum didn’t just reveal the history of chocolate; it gave us a real cultural experince.

Life’s great truths were hidden there: chocolate never disappoints – even if the scale sometimes shows numbers we’d rather not see.

Anniversaries, Greetings, and Cake

The highlight of the evening was celebrating our colleagues’ anniversaries. Ildi, Évi, Bea, Andris, Szandi, Enikő, and Andi each enjoyed a special moment next to the cake, making it clear that it’s not just chocolate that matters – work and shared experiences are just as important to us.

Closing

Dinner offered a true buffet experience, and the festive atmosphere lasted until the very end, like a perfectly wrapped year-end celebration. As we left the venue, we all felt that the greatest gift wasn’t just the chocolate but the time spent together – because while sweet treats can’t replace daily work, an evening like this is worth everything.
