Two months have passed since our Christmas party, so by the end of February the need for another relaxed, playful afternoon naturally arose. This time, colleagues could decide which activities they wanted to try. Based on the preliminary vote, club games (bowling/billiards, darts, table football, and an exciting new game for us, shuffle) received the most votes.
This is how we ended up choosing the playful and friendly venue of Manytime60, where we held our team-building event on February 27, Friday afternoon, between 3 and 6 p.m.
Games in Every Direction
The programme turned out to be wonderfully varied:
- Two bowling lanes hosted 6–8-person teams rotating throughout the afternoon,
- Two billiard tables were in constant use,
- There was always someone ready to try darts or table football,
- And of course, shuffle became a big hit, offering a brand-new experience for many of us.
What Is Shuffle?
Shuffle is a skill- and strategy-based game played on a long table sprinkled lightly with sand or silicone, where players slide discs with the aim of landing them in designated scoring zones at the end of the board. The goal is to collect as many points as possible — all in a light, entertaining format. Naturally, knocking out the opponent’s discs is part of the fun! It’s quick to learn, yet surprisingly competitive.
Relaxed Atmosphere, Familiar and New Faces
For the first half of the afternoon, we practically had the entire venue to ourselves, which helped create a truly relaxed, familiar atmosphere. Teams formed freely, allowing many colleagues to play with people they normally don’t meet during the workday.
Some added to the experience with tasty snacks or refreshing drinks — everyone could enjoy the afternoon at their own pace, choosing their favourites from the bar.
Recharged with New Experiences
The three-hour event flew by, and based on the feedback, everyone appreciated the chance to step out of the daily routine for a while. It felt great to reconnect, play, and simply enjoy being together again — and we’re already excited for the upcoming spring and summer programmes that promise even more fun!
